As the distance from the source increases, the diameter must increase as well. There is also the issue of voltage drop.

Any time you run wire, there will be a certain amount of voltage drop, it just like a water hose, the longer it is, the lower the pressure on the outlet. In electrical circuits, you can combat the voltage drop through larger gauge wires. Any chart you use needs to be noted with the voltage drop of the chart.

If the drop is not noted, find another chart. A normal fuse in your fuse panel is rated at 25 amps, which means the highest capacity for the circuit is 25 amps. During another project, you pinched the wire in the door and now you have to replace it. Standard automotive primary wire is 18 gauge. This is good for signal wires, but not for hi-current applications. If you replace that section of wire with a piece of 18 gauge, it could cause a fire. Instead, you need to match the original wiring size.

In most cases, this will be 12 gaugewhich will service 25 amps for feet in length, which is about the right length for a door window to the power source. They keep welding shut and allowing pass through which enables the engine to crank on its own without key. The wiring looks mostly original except for the previous owners adding Halogen lights to the bumper. I did put my volt tester on it last night key off on the I side post of solenoid it is passing I am going to get a new solenoid today and retest to see if I get the same results with a new one right after I put it on.

I did put the covers back on and did find there respective gaskets today. I slightly tightened the bolts to allow the lil amount of RTV to set up. The people at Oreilly and Advance pushed lucas on me for the additive. I did see a 85w limited slip gear oil but it was synthetic and figured that would not work as well. Well that is basically the latest. I did not attempt the transfer case because we got a late start.

I happen to be a Ford person. So let me get this clear no additives at all? Because I thought you said in limited slip it need an oem additive.

Maybe I misread it but it seemed like that was what you were saying. Yeah I would like to change it. Can I just not replace the planetary gears and spider gears instead of replacing the whole front end?
